Do’s and Don’ts

Ensure the wheelchair is in good working order
Ensure if required the wheels are properly inflated
Ensure the brakes are in working order
Ensure the seatbelt is present and working
Ensure the footplates are present and in place correctly
Do not use if there is no seatbelt or footplates attached
Do not use if brakes do not engage
Do not use if the seat, arm rest or back rest has any signs of damage
Do not use if the wheelchair appears too big or too small for the individual
